Members

GMTA is governed by an eleven member locally appointed Board of Directors. The Board of Directors have a fiduciary and policy making role for the agency and develop a strategic plan that guides the agency’s annual work plan. The Executive Director and agency staff are responsible for implementing the Board’s strategic plan and annual work plan.

Board members consist of two members appointed by the City Council of Montpelier, two members appointed by the City Council of Barre, one member appointed by the Town of Stowe, one member appointed by the Lamoille Regional Planning Commission, one member appointed by the Mad River Valley Planning District and one member of the Regional Elderly and Disabled Program Advisory Committee appointed by the Committee.

Board members also include two members appointed by the municipalities receiving and providing funding for public transportation services within the service area of Washington County and the three towns of Washington, Orange and Williamstown of Orange County.

Meetings

The GMTA Board of Directors meet on the first Thursday of every month. Meetings are held on a monthly rotating basis at City Hall in Montpelier, City Hall in Barre City and the Waterbury Town Administrative Office.
